With us today, is another of my special guest stars: Sparticus, a TH10 from Reddit Raiders
1. Why do you see yourself as a LaLooner above any other strategy?
Used to use hogs all the time, then the Clashhead war came around and I saw how powerful air was. Never looked back since then.
2. When did you first LaLoon and how was it different in those days?
There was no real guide on how to LaLoon back then. It was still pretty much new and you kind of had to learn for yourself. My first LaLoon attack I took down an AD with hogs and a heal, pulled the CC, and then shattered for 2 more AD. Ended up still failing with a 90 something attack because I didn't know much about deployment (still had 3 spells for the attack lol)
3. When you were learning to LaLoon who was your inspiration (YouTuber or clan member) and why?
Couldn't find too many YouTubers who were doing any decent tutorials for LaLoon back then. I kind of just watched Predator and tried to adopt the air portion to fit TH9s. Precision drops, circling the base, raging where hounds won't be taking damage.
4. What's your favorite method of LaLooning (CB, shattered, etc.) and why?
CB or just heroes. Knowing how to squeeze out the most value for your heroes is very useful. Also you have a greater margin of error with the air portion, compared to the ground portion.
5 and 6. Best tip for a beginner LaLooner at your TH? An Advanced LaLooner?
Best tip for a beginner would be to funnel. The hardest portion of the air raid is the KS. Take two seconds and draw out where heroes and such would go. After that don't over drop loons on defenses 2-3 at most since that will take care of all defenses. Any extra loons and its just a waste of troop space. Finally rage a tad early. Your loons should travel into your rage, and not be raged as soon as you drop it.
For advanced LaLooners, I would say watch your angles. You can circle a base that has hard to hit spots if you time the back loons properly. Also two loons on the same defense can go in different locations, depending on the angle you've dropped them and that's something you can account for and plan ahead.
7. Most embarrassing LaLoon moment?
Hit a $hit TH10 with level 1 teslas and none of my hounds popped. Ended up raging my hounds on storages to speed it up and still didn't 3 the base lol
8. Most satisfying LaLoon moment?
Tried a couple times to 3 a TH10, got close but no dice. Then I ended up having a 6 star war finally, and that felt pretty good.
9. Favorite CoC commercial?
Hog Riiiiiiiyda
10. Any last words of wisdom for future generations of LaLooners?
Learn to funnel as it's the most important part of any raid. You can save a lot of troop space by knowing what your troop AI will do. Finally, know when to hold back on your rages. No need to speed up 3 hounds to the last AD that you'll have no pups
