RR went up against the main CH clan a few months back... long before my time. We lost but put up a good fight considering we aren't technically a war clan but a competitive clan that just really likes to war. So for the ClashHeads name to pop up made me beyond ecstatic! I may or may not have referenced my lady boner, which was promptly killed when someone mentioned we matched the CH farming branch. Talk about an emotional roller-coaster :(
We don't negotiate with farming clans. It's never worked out. But we let one of their members in since the CH family runs a tighter ship than your average clan. The CH rep kept insisting they were just farmers and only a dozen or so of them were any good. We asked nicely if they'd be willing to make this a real war but they declined. So we said we'd be willing to work with them under three conditions: give us real war bases (they had a few THs out and at least one troll base), fill CCs (with real troops), and their #1 had to make an honest 3 star attempt on our #2 (they had a history). The CH rep said he would relay it back to the clan and left.
So a few hours later, another CH rep requests to chat. Seems like the previous guy didn't relay any of the information? Rep 2.0 said Rep 1.0 wasn't even an elder. OK... So we heard the whole "don't you want easy loot" speech. Again. And we set forth our conditions. Again. Rep 2.0 agreed and left. As prep day drew to an end, we ended up having a semi-real war :)
They ended up making honest three star attempts for a good number of their attacks. We hadn't seen a clan legitimately use three star strategies in too many wars to count and we hadn't gotten to practice on decent anti-three bases since Vortex.
Technically, this was a win but we all considered it a loss. Unfortunately, this was the farming branch of CH so a good number never used an attack a lot like what happens in our practice wars. If they had just a few more active members that used their attacks, they would have easily crushed us. With one hand behind their back.
It was the most depressing win ever... Worse than winning against your average war farmers. Maybe one day soon we'll have a real all-out war with CH... hint hint ;) Purdy please? I don't mind being crushed again...
