We had a lovely Raider Reunion "aka Wifey's CoC orgy" one night this week. I wanted to hear what people had to say about Raiders in the good ole days! They sure didn't disappoint :)
"The History of Reddit Raiders" will be divided into four parts: Start to Clan Wars, Clan Wars to Three Stars, Three Stars to the end of ReAlz, and The Start of Frank to Present day.
Note: I slightly edited the order of comments in GroupMe to get it in better chronological order as people were hopping in at various times.
Also note: all of Wifey's comments and dates from lurking the sub will be italicized.

Reddit Raiders founded on Jan 26th, 2014 by Mark (IGN: TillysMaster). From the start, donations were always a big thing. We were weird back then too… many posts about beards… We were also a “democracy” for awhile? (Lots of voting happening in the sub!)
Jman (former Raider, now leader of Reddit Elements): yep they liked their beards. I joined January, as soon as I got a cc. I was a th4 at the time.
The first post by ReAlz (2nd leader) is found on Feb 17
Reddit Raiders became a verified RCS clan on February 20 (really quick!)
Tsero was first sighted in the sub on Feb 23
ReAlz (referred to from now on as Re): You missed Supertek. He joined Raiders before I did.
RR did a few pushes back in the day… we did pretty well but then again... LEADERSHIP WAS PAYING FOR GOOD PERFORMANCES BACK THEN. I found a post for $50 for first place in a push! I really think we should reinstate that..
Speaking of a push, Realz and Jman lost in a push to a TH6 :P SHAME!!! Hehe
March 13 is the first mention of an early form of our strike system
March 17 Matt first sighted in the sub.
Re: It was a fairly chill place to be. We had a lots of cool people from all over the world. Like you said donations used to be a big thing and we were constantly beating each other in donations. Before Veryous and Reality and Funk joined, it was Mark, the founder and 3 other guys and we were pretty close. This place was more than a clan since the very beginning.
Someone apparently really liked giving dragons… ahem
Re: Oh yeah I remember one time I was driving from NYC to Philadelphia and all throughout the drive I was boosted and constantly donating drags. LOL Mark had to tell me to stop donating because nobody else was getting any donations in. I literally had the chat open all the time and anytime there was a donate button a drag found a new home. Come to think of it, we were always super competitive trying hard to be casuals
Jman: Everyone was chatting 24/7, cool people, and Mark not tyrant yet “Real life friends don’t matter as much as us” was one of the things he said.
Reality: Mark used to do the seasonal recaps for which clan had the most donations and $hit.
Jman left April 1 (to form Reddit Elements).
Re: We implemented 18+ rule to get rid of jman. Fact.
Funk: We called it the jman rule
